The Remonstrants were dismissed on a point of order for protesting too much. Those preachers who would not consent to the canons would be dismissed from their churches. Many such as Grotius would be exiled or imprisoned. A few, such as Oldenbarneveldt, would be executed for treason because of the political ramifications and not for heresy per se.
